If you are an experienced Psychologist, passionate about supporting schools and teachers to improve outcomes for all students, this is the role for you!

About the role

Working collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team providing professional advice, support and facilitating professional learning opportunities for our member schools. You will utilise your expertise and experience of appropriate education adjustments across the primary and secondary school settings to provide advice and solutions to our member schools so that they can provide the best opportunities for students with social, emotional and cognitive needs. In this role, you will work closely with other members of the Student Services team to provide responsive and timely specialised support services to members schools across the state. You will also have the opportunity to connect with other health professionals in a strategic capacity to engage with current support initiatives and keep abreast of the evolving educational support landscape.

About you

  • Demonstrated understanding of how best to manage complex student needs in the school and classroom setting is essential.
  • Previous experience supporting teachers to design and implement interventions for students with social, emotional and cognitive disabilities and/or challenging behaviours would be highly advantageous.
  • Master of Educational & Developmental Psychology or similar.
  • Full registration as a psychologist through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (Note: proof of qualifications and registration to be provided prior to or at interview).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver professional learning
