ELM Clinician Marymead Child and Family Centre

JOB DESCRIPTION

About Marymead

Marymead is a well-respected, community based, not-for-profit organisation that has provided a range of support services to children, young people and their families since 1967. Marymead now operates throughout the southern and western regional areas of NSW as well as the ACT with offices in Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Young, Moruya and Canberra. Marymead are searching for an ELM Clinician to join our Early Life Matters (ELM) team within our Mental Health and Wellbeing Unit.

About the position

The ELM Clinician position is a permanent part time position, 15 hours per week (2 days per week) and involves service delivery, under the supervision of the Attachment Services Team Leader in the Early Life Matters (ELM) team within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Unit.

ELM provides support in prevention and early intervention infant and early childhood mental health. ELM is funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS) and ACT Health to provide Circle of Security to parents and caregivers of 0-12-year-old children. Under this funding, ELM delivers Circle of Security Parenting (8 week) groups and Circle of Security Intensive (20 week) groups and individual therapeutic interventions.

As a ELM Clinician, you will use strength and relationship based approaches to work with CYP and families. You will provide early intervention and prevention to children 0-12 and their families, in order to reduce negative outcomes in later life, by strengthening family relationships and improving parents/carer capacity and child wellbeing. You will do so via provision of Circle of Security (COS) Intensive and Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) groups as well as individualised sessions to parents and caregivers, in addition to contributing to client intake, screening and program evaluation.

To be successful for this role you will possess COSP training and facilitation experience and ideally you will be COSI trained with relevant experience.

As a non-profit employer, Marymead is able to provide staff with access to generous salary packaging arrangements.
