We deliver multiple services prescribed under contracts from the Australian Government (Workforce Australia employment services, Disability Employment Services, and Workforce Australia – Transition to Work) and are also a Registered Training Organisation. Role available;  

Tursa Employment & Training is seeking to employ an Employment Adviser

This role will be based at our LISMORE site and is an ongoing (permanent), full-time position (72 hour, 9-day fortnight; no weekends). Though this role is advertised for full-time, if you are the right candidate, we consider part-time positions.  

About the role; 

Being an Employment Adviser is an incredibly rewarding role. Employment Advisers at TURSA work with a caseload of participants, some of whom are vulnerable in our community. They assist participants back into work and provide support to ensure its ongoing and sustainable. They use their excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and support our participants address barriers to employment, undertake relevant and appropriate training, create work experience opportunities, and source vacancies, in order to transition participants successfully back into the workplace.

Your skills and strengths; 

  • Ability to build professional relationships with employers and participants 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills 
  • Confident in a high volume, fast paced environment 
  • Highly organised with strong administration skills
  • Resilient & empathetic towards others  

Although previous experience in Employment Services is an advantage, it is not essential. Experience in community services or customer service industries are just a few areas where people have come to TURSA and grown rewarding and fulfilling careers with us.
