About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Employment Consultant who will be working with a team of Mental Health Clinicians to support candidates in gaining and sustaining employments through the Individual Placement and Support Program.

Based in Armadale Hospital’s Community Mental Health Clinic and working in a close-knit team, this is an exceptionally rewarding position where no two days will be the same. Through your engagement and support of jobseekers with varying barriers and capacities you will be responsible for conducting initial job seeker assessment, building relationships to promote engagement, identifying and promoting employability skills, and job matching.

The aim of the IPS program is to improve the education and employment outcomes of people with mental illness. The IPS program integrates employment and vocational services with clinical mental health and non-vocational support and focuses on the individual needs of people with mental illness who are seeking to enter, or remain in, education and/or employment.

We are seeking an individual with training and qualification or progressing towards a qualification in Mental Health who can apply their passion, demonstrated professionalism, and an ability to build relationships to this position.
