We are seeking Engagement and Referral Practitioners to join our caring, compassionate, and friendly team in Maryborough until 28 June 2024 with possibility for extension. Part Time (0.8FTE) and Full Time positions available!
Extension of employment contract beyond this date is subject to the continued successful government funding of the program.

This role is about providing active engagement and referral for support to vulnerable families where there are child protection concerns, including conducting cold calls and appointments with non-consenting clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining a case load of client families and identifying family needs using specified tools.
- Successfully engaging families in a timely manner and gaining their consent to refer into appropriate services.
- Maintaining positive relationships with government, non-government and community-based organisations.
About you…
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services) and professional registration if required.
- At least 2 years’ experience working within the child protection framework.
- Ability to identify child protection concerns, and family and individual client needs using a child-centred approach.
- Ability to identify child protection concerns.
- A high level of engagement skills and experience in engaging with non-consenting clients in a respectful and non-threatening manner.
- Ability to quickly and respectfully build rapport and gain family trust and consent to enable referral to other services.
- Excellent time management, organisational and record-keeping skills.

About the pay…
- Position is classified Level 4 under the SCHADS award.
- Salary range is $82,046 – $88,288 per annum plus superannuation (pro-rata for part-time).
