About the role:

Based in the Northern Rivers suburb of Coraki, BaptistCare’s temporary housing site offers a safe, secure home for up to 240 people who experienced months of uncertainty after devastating floods in the region.

As the Engagement Coordinator, you will create and deliver opportunities for strengthening the community by developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders alike.

Working with your team, you will also identify the individual support needs, including the goals, strengths and vulnerabilities of Occupants and Household Members in order to facilitate opportunities for Occupants to build capacity.

About you:

To be considered, you will have:

  • Certificate IV – Social Work or Community Services
  • Previous experience working in community services or related discipline
  • Tenacity, tolerance, empathy and patience for occupants and their needs
  • Flexible and willing to work between locations as required
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate the provision of effective and individualised support to achieve positive outcomes for tenants and household members
  • Experience working with high need, complex clients
  • High level negotiation skills and ability to liaise with key stakeholders
  • Competence in service assessment and documentation (including service planning).
  • NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to work between locations as required
  • NSW Working with Children Check (paid employment purposes)
