Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with experienced EMDR therapists to assist in the treatment of patients dealing with trauma, mental health issues, and lifestyle problems.
- Attend EMDR training sessions and workshops to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Conduct assessments and provide individual therapy sessions under supervision, with a specific focus on trauma, mental health, and lifestyle concerns.
- Address the emotional and psychological effects of trauma, providing support for clients on their journey to recovery.
- Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest research and developments in EMDR therapy.
Qualifications:
- A Newly Registered Psychologist or a New Graduate with a degree in psychology.
- AHPRA registration
- Strong passion for addressing trauma, mental health issues, lifestyle problems, and a desire to become proficient in EMDR.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from experienced therapists.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new therapeutic techniques.
