Nine-day fortnight negotiable – 2 year contract
The Women’s Health, Information and Referral Service CQ Inc. (WHIRSCQ) is a community-based organisation funded by the Queensland Department of Justice and Attorney General to support women who need assistance to achieve better health and wellbeing promoting their social and economic participation and independence; particularly those who have been affected by gender-based violence. It also supports Queenslanders affected by sexual violence, assisting them to recover from their experiences.
WHIRSCQ Women’s Support Services provides free confidential counselling, information, and referrals for women from 14 years of age on issues affecting their wellbeing including historical domestic and family violence. WHIRSCQ Sexual Violence Support Services provides sexual violence counselling, information and referrals for women, men, and youth from 12 years (and their key supports) who have been affected by sexual violence. Counselling is available face-to-face, over the phone or through Zoom in our Rockhampton office and outreach offices throughout the Central Queensland region (i.e., Gracemere, Mount Morgan, North Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Blackwater, Emerald, and surrounding areas.)
In addition, WHIRSCQ provides ongoing Prevention, Capacity Building and Awareness Raising (PCBAR) of gender-based violence, health and wellbeing, and issues across Central Queensland through workshops and training for clients, individuals, government, and non-government service providers.
Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work or Counselling
