The role of the Guidance and Careers Counsellor involves working as part of the Student Support Services Team to provide a high level of support for the academic, emotional, social and behavioural wellbeing of our students. As part of this role, the Guidance and Careers Counsellor provides career advice and education to secondary students and families by delivering a high quality, comprehensive Careers program which prepares students well for post-secondary pathways.
Registration or eligibility for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers, and the completion of an Australian qualification in Guidance and Counselling from recognised tertiary institution/s is required. A CICA approved qualification is desirable.
