Salary
- base Salary from $126,830.59 per annum (dependent on level of experience) – plus superannuation

About You
To be considered for the Mental Health & Wellbeing Manager role with UHS you must:
- Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant allied health discipline and current membership with AHPRA, or membership of and adherence to the AASW standards for social workers. Postgraduate qualifications in mental health or equivalent training preferred.
- Hold as a minimum ARCAP registration as a Level 2 ACA Counsellor or Psychotherapist, with AASW accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) preferred
- demonstrate sound understanding of the challenges remote health professionals face working and living in a remote area
- be collaborative in your approach and willing to work with the CEO, primary health care team and the Community to improve health and wellbeing outcomes in the region
- have demonstrated ability to practice in a culturally safe and appropriate manner
- respect for Aboriginal culture and/or the willingness to engage and learn
- have sound and well established allied health care skills
- demonstrate ability to maintain electronic patient databases such as Communicare and use this data to inform mandatory program reporting requirements and progress against program targets
- hold current Australian ‘C’ Class drivers licence with demonstrated skills to drive on unsealed roads
- demonstrate strong respect and support for fellow workers, the desire to step up when required and work as a team player
- undertake other responsibilities as reasonably requested by the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with your skills and qualification
National Police Clearance (within 3 months), approved COVID-19 vaccination and NT Ochre Card (working with children) is mandatory for these positions. We will assist with application and cost of checks.
Our Footprint and Facilities:
The Urapuntja Health Service is in Amengernterneah, 23 km north of Arlparra, off the Sandover Highway. Our Health Service team (comprising Clinical and Social Emotional Wellbeing Teams) provide services through our main clinic and Wellbeing Centre at Amengernterneah and as a mobile, outreach team, visiting 600-800 residents of 16 Homeland communities. The Health Service is set in an area of natural beauty, with comfortable accommodation for our staff including a well-equipped and modern clinic, a Wellbeing Centre, men’s and women’s centres, a mechanical workshop, and a gym.
