The principal objective of this position is to engage Users of Violence and to facilitate Men’s Behavioural Change programs in alignment with Department of Communities and Justice NSW Standards, and the National Plan for addressing Domestic Violence. The target client group for this activity are voluntary and mandated male clients who have engaged in family violence and are committed to changing their violent behaviour through their attendance in this program.

Remuneration
This position operates under the Social Community Home Care & Disability Award 2010 on a level 4 ($49.08/hr – $52.81/hr)

About The Role
Working as part of our team some key responsibilities include but is not limited to:
- Assist in the delivery of the Men’s Behavioural Change programs in accordance with the minimum standards.
- Plan the sessions within an integrated multidisciplinary framework.
- Conduct and document initial and subsequent risk assessments for the program participants.
- Undertake Pre-Group Interviews and sessions with program participants and assess for suitability for group work.
- Proactively communicate identified risks or issues arising in the group including, safety or critical incidents to the Program Manager.
- Identify, respond and report to safety risks for women, (ex) partners, relevant family members and children following established protocols, as directed.
- Effective management of client files and data, including timely case notes, referrals and reporting.

Essential Criteria
- Our ideal candidate would be passionate about assisting male participants who are users of violence.
- A Qualification (Cert IV or equivalent) in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology or other relevant field or willing to obtain.
- A minimum of two years’ professional experience working in the domestic and family violence sector is preferred.
- ECAV Graduate Certificate in Men’s Behaviour Change Individual and Group Work Interventions, or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in facilitating Men’s Behaviour Change Programs (including undertaking clinical supervision).
