We are seeking an experienced family social worker, or family-based clinician to join a local organisation providing a new initiative program for the local community. The clinician will have experience in brief group based interventions with families to help support relationships between children and their parents, with outcomes focused on family assessment and case planning. The role is heavily based on regular case reviews and complete closured in line with interagency partnerships and collaborative networking. The ideal candidate will be able to bring experience with trauma informed practice in family violence, children, youth and family mental health and alcohol or other drug.
About you
– 2 to 5 years’ experience and skills in trauma informed practice and family violence, alcohol or other drug and/or mental health within children, youth and family service delivery or similar.
– Knowledge of community support services
– Knowledge of Client Directed Care principles and frameworks
– Well-developed clinical skills and demonstrated ability to support a coordinated approach by working with a range of stakeholders to improve health outcomes as agreed with client.
– High level of energy, initiative, sound judgement and a sense of urgency
– Ability to present complex information in an easily understood and accessible format
– Understanding and implementing financial evaluation of services provided (NDIS and MBS)
Requirements
– Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or Psychology and membership with relevant authorising body is highly regarded.
– Current Victorian Drivers Licence as Travel between sites is required
– Valid Working With Children Check
– NDIS Clearance Check
– Satisfactory Police Check
Remuneration Package
Annual Salary up to $90,000 (pro. rata) + Superannuation
Salary packaging available.
Part-Time Fixed Term (2-year contract) 22.8hrs/week
