JOB DESCRIPTION

Exmouth Based – Part Time 

(25 hours per week – maximum term until 31 March 2024)

Centacare Family Services offers relationship and community services to individual, couples and families. 

Centacare Family Services are currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced Family Counsellors to join our Exmouth based team. 

This is a part time position, working 25 hours per week, with a flexible roster to be negotiated with the successful applicant. This position is offered on a maximum term until 31 March 2024 with the potential for extension after that date.

Relocation assistance will be negotiated with the successful applicant; however, the successful applicant will need to be able to provide their own accommodation once in Exmouth. 

Key Functions

  • Deliver support to the Exmouth community through provision of Counselling Services, Community Education, and Outreach activities.

Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in a related Social Services field.
  • Current registration with a relevant professional body (for Counselling), or ability to obtain. 

Experience

  • Experience in generalised counselling of individuals and families, including providing referral and connection services.
  • Experience in mental health education would be well regarded but is not essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills. 
  • An open and welcoming approach to dealing with clients in a neutral, impartial, and non-judgemental manner. 
  • Ability to work within the philosophy and ethos of Centacare.

A remuneration package based on the SCHCADS Award 2010 will be provided based on skills and experience. 

  • Level 5.1, $44.92 / hour plus superannuation.
