Centacare Family Services offers family relationship and community services to individuals, couples, and families. As a Catholic agency we provide professional assistance in a manner which promotes human dignity and enhances growth and wellbeing.

Centacare Family Services are currently seeking expressions of interest from a suitably qualified and experienced FDRP to join our Geraldton based team.

A remuneration package based on the SCHCADS Award 2010 will be offered based on skills and experience; level 5.1 $47.50/hour, superannuation and salary sacrifice option.

Relocation assistance will be negotiated with the successful applicant; however, the successful applicant will need to be able to provide their own accommodation once in Geraldton. 

This is a full-time position.

Key Functions

•    Provide a range of mediation, early intervention and prevention, community education and support services for the Family Relationship Centre (FRC) in a professional and ethical manner that reflects the philosophy and mission of Centacare Family Services and FRC programme requirements.

  • Qualification and experience in Family Dispute Resolution

Selection Criteria: Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in intake, assessment, and case coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience in child focused and/or child inclusive practices.
  • Ability to understand some knowledge of abuse and dysfunction within families.
  • Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention programme services.
  • A willingness to undertake family law services work which may include working in a court environment.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, for working with a broad-based network of service providers and a culturally diverse clientele.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • High level of skill in Microsoft Office, Penelope database and/or similar computer packages.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities.
  • Ability to be non-judgmental and compassionate.
  • Willingness to work until 7.30pm one evening a week
  • Willingness to undertake training in “Child Inclusive Mediation” funded by the FRC. 
  • Ability to work within the philosophy and ethos of Centacare.

Successful applicants will hold, or be able to obtain, a WA Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance no older than 12 months, and a current WA Driver’s License.
