What you’ll do
You’ll provide high quality services to families experiencing post-separation conflict who need assistance reaching agreement on parenting arrangements or resolving issues related to finances and property settlement. Services include risk screening and assessment, preparation for family dispute resolution and mediating joint sessions using a range of specialised approaches including Child Inclusive Practice.
You’ll provide information to clients about separation, counselling and legal processes and will make referrals as required. Your work will be guided by the Family Law Act and Regulations as relates to your role.

The details
- Permanent part time, 3 days per week
- Potential to work from home 1 day a week
- Based at Blacktown
- Extra annual days between Christmas and New Year
- Excellent professional development, regular clinical supervision
- Approx $44-$49 p/h + super + leave loading + salary packaging benefits
What you’ll bring
- Registration with the Australian Government Attorney General’s Department Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners is essential
- A tertiary background in Law, Social Sciences, Social work, or Mediation/Dispute Resolution
- Demonstrated high level skills in family dispute resolution, including assessments and mediation interventions
- Demonstrated ability to work in a child focused approach
- Strong understanding of relationship dynamics, domestic and family violence, child safety, trauma informed practice, diversity awareness and mental health and wellbeing
