Our Dispute Resolution team offers services including family dispute resolution for parenting arrangements and financial / property matters, legally assisted FDR, child inclusive practice, parent adolescent mediation, general mediation, restorative practice and workplace mediation.
About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic Family Dispute Resolution practitioner to join our team. The purpose of this role is to expand our existing property mediation services to the meet the growing needs of clients for this service, as well working across a variety of dispute resolution modalities. We provide a flexible and responsive service to our clients, including online and telephone options to meet their needs.
About you
You will be a self-motivated, client-focused practitioner with an ability to work autonomously as well as in a team of high performing practitioners located throughout Melbourne Metropolitan and Regional Victoria. In addition, you will have the following:
- Current registration as Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney General’s Department.
- Minimum 5 year experience as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with capacity to mediate parenting arrangements and financial agreements, under the provisions of the Family Law Act 1975.
- Tertiary qualifications in law, and Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution or equivalent
- Capacity to provide service delivery using a range of technologies, practical experience of Family Property Online an advantage
- Demonstrated understanding of working within prevention of family violence and trauma informed frameworks.
- Demonstrated and thorough experience in resolving disputes involving property and financial matters
- An exceptional level of ethical standards and well-developed interpersonal communication skills, with the capacity to manage complex cases and ensure high standards of practice.
