About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Western Melbourne you will be responsible for undertaking assessments and mediation, group work (as required) and providing information, support and referral to match presenting needs to services and programs.
As the Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Practitioner, you will join our team of highly skilled and dedicated practitioners, to apply your skills and experience to provide effective FDR to families by assisting to resolve issues in dispute such as parenting arrangements and property settlements.
This position is permanent, part-time, three (3) days, including one evening shift per week and is based at our Sunshine Family Relationship Centre.
Qualifications, skills and experience
- Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, social work, law or psychology.
- Successful completion of the Vocational Graduate Diploma in Dispute Resolution.
- Demonstrated previous experience as a family dispute resolution practitioner.
- Registration as an FDRP under the Accreditation Rules or on the Register of FDRP maintained by the Attorney-General’s Department for eligibility immediately; and
- Experience or training in property as well as willingness to undertake training.
