KWY has developed a highly specialised and customised suite of programs focusing on domestic and family violence, child protection and social and emotional well-being.

About the job…
New positions have become available due to the expansion of programs in KWY. These are opportunities to be part of a multi-disciplinary team (Women’s Practitioner) and part of a consortium (Family Practitioner).
Practitioners work to assess risk and put safety measures in place. Practitioners provide intensive and therapeutic support, advocacy, and information. Engagement takes place in a variety of settings including phone calls, face to face meetings in an outreach setting, this may include home visits.
We have multiple positions available, including:
- Women’s Practitioner
SCHADS level 4, 0.8 (Full-time Negotiable)
Taikurtirna Tirra-apinthi Team
Located at Mile End to 30 June 2023
- Family Practitioner
SCHADS level 4, Full-time
Intensive Family Services – Walking Together Team – part of a consortium
Located at Hindmarsh to 30 June 2023
About you…
The successful applicant will possess skills, experience, and knowledge in working with Aboriginal people to address Child Protection and Domestic and Family Violence concerns. The Practitioners will operate within a therapeutic, trauma-informed framework. The applicant would have demonstrated knowledge of case management and working with Aboriginal families.
About the pay…
- Positions are classified under Level 4 SCHADS award.
- The positions are available at .8 and full-time.

Other requirements…
- You must hold a current South Australian Drivers Licence
- Successful candidates will be required to clear and maintain probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check (Police Clearance), Working with Vulnerable People Check and Working with Children Check (applicants need to hold a current WWCC to apply).
