Our Family Violence program is growing and we are seeking outstanding candidates to join our family violence perpetrator responses program. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate practitioners to support the delivery of programs and increase safety for victim survivors through providing information, support and referrals to relevant programs for affected family members of men completing perpetrator programs with Western Health.

Special Condition

The recruitment for this role is in accordance with Family Safety Victoria’s MBCP Guidelines. The minimum standards apply to all Victorian Government funded MBCPs delivered in the community. The minimum standards establish minimum requirements for program priorities and key components of program design, delivery, evaluation, and staffing. In accordance with 9.5 of the MBCP Guidelines the Family Safety Contact work is undertaken by a female worker. Accordingly only individuals who identify as female will be eligible to apply.

To be Successful in this Role you

  • Will need a Social Work qualification or relevant experience, in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications requirements for specialist family violence practitioners** – see position description;
  • Will have an understanding of relevant legislation and practice frameworks relating to family violence practice;
  • Will ideally have some experience working within the family violence sector;
  • Will be passionate about supporting and prioritising safety for victim survivors of family violence.
