Family Safety Practitioner – Kew Relationships Australia Victoria

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role

Reporting to the Centre Manager Outer East Metro, and in collaboration with centre staff, this position has multiple components to advance the practice of working with families affected by family and domestic violence. This will include conducting telephone psycho-social assessments and providing information and referrals to persons experiencing family and domestic violence with a wide range of RAV support, therapeutic and group work programs.  

This opportunity is located at our Kew Centre and is part-time, working three (3) days per week. The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract until April 2024, with the possibility of permanent employment if funding contracts renewed.

About you

  • Degree in social work, counselling, psychology, or a related social science discipline.
  • Completion of Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Risk Management (MARAM) Framework training.
  • Experience of a commitment to advocating and enhancing family safety and to living non-violently.
  • Significant experience working with parents and children affected by family violence and undertaking whole of family psycho-social assessments and safety plans.
  • Knowledge of the processes of Men’s Behaviour Change group work.

The base salary range is $92k-$99k (pro-rata) per annum.
