JOB DESCRIPTION

Our valued client is assessing interventions to support children and young people who are experiencing homelessness with their parents in a new pilot program.

This is an opportunity to impart your skills and experience working with families,  in particular young people, through trauma and the uncertainty of homelessness.     This role is funded for a 12 month project period but may have the potential for extension.    

The ideal candidate will demonstrate prior project management skills and the ability to conceptualise and implement a new program, as well as be supported  with the evaluation and outcome measures.   The successful candidate will present with the following:

  •  A tertiary Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related Discipline
  • Demonstrated skills and experience with trauma informed practice
  • Experience with both individual therapeutic interventions and group work
  • Well developed project planning and delivery skills
  • The ability to work independently with demonstrate a can-do attitude
  • Extensive experience working with disadvantaged children and families
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
