This is an opportunity to impart your skills and experience working with families, in particular young people, through trauma and the uncertainty of homelessness. This role is funded for a 12 month project period but may have the potential for extension.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate prior project management skills and the ability to conceptualise and implement a new program, as well as be supported with the evaluation and outcome measures. The successful candidate will present with the following:
- A tertiary Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related Discipline
- Demonstrated skills and experience with trauma informed practice
- Experience with both individual therapeutic interventions and group work
- Well developed project planning and delivery skills
- The ability to work independently with demonstrate a can-do attitude
- Extensive experience working with disadvantaged children and families
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills

Prior understanding of the specialist homelessness sector and its current approaches to family therapy would be an advantage but not essential.
