About The Role
Working as part of our team some key responsibilities include but is not limited to:
- Provide a professional and caring first point of contact for clients who are seeking assistance and who may be experiencing a variety of complex needs.
- Conduct initial intake and assessments to help identify areas for support.
- Provide intensive case management coordination and support which aims to enhance family functioning and improve wellbeing.
- Identify appropriate internal and external services to assist clients, make warm referrals and monitor engagement with these services.
- Support clients to navigate the services available to them within the community services and family law sector.
- Provide timely and responsive interventions to individuals who have experienced family violence
- Support women and children who may be at risk in the family environment and help to identify and pursue options to increase their safety
- Risk assessment, safety planning and risk management in conjunction with the family violence team members and other service providers as required
- Liaise cooperatively and effectively with key local women’s services and service providers as appropriate to support women and children’s safety.

Essential Criteria
- Tertiary Qualifications or relevant Industry experience within the Community Services or Family Law sector.
- A minimum of two years professional experience working in the Community Services sector with comprehensive knowledge of domestic and family violence services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of family violence including the social and gendered context and principles and philosophies of practice
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, communication and written skills, including the ability to prepare documents, set goals and maintain a positive approach in working with families, individuals and groups to achieve these goals within an established timeframe.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute actively as a member of a practice team
- A satisfactory Working With Children Check and National Police Records Check
- Current NSW drivers license and the ability to travel as past of the role
