We are seeking a full time Family Support Practitioner to join our Family and Child Connect team
Family and Child Connect (FACC) is a local community based intake and referral program which enables families under stress to access the support they need as early as possible without being involved in the statutory child protection system.
Applicants must provide a resume, referee details and covering letter outlining how they meet the following broad requirements of the position:
- Tertiary qualifications (University level, 3 or 4 year degree) in Social Work or a related field
- Ability to use a variety of tools to successfully engage children and families
- Experience in working with complex issues such as family and domestic violence, alcohol and drug addictions, mental health, gambling and other contributing factors within a vulnerable family
- Experience in compiling case notes, safety plans, risk assessments and support plans and maintaining them on a database system within strict timeframes
- Ability to respond in a culturally sensitive way to service users and community need
- Working with Children Blue Card
- Qld Drivers Licence
- First Aid and CPR Certificates
- COVID-19 vaccination
