We have an excellent opportunity to join Wanslea in a brand new role as a Family Support Worker in our Volunteer Family Connect Program based in Mount Barker or Lower Great Southern.

The Role

As the Family Support Worker, you will support the implementation of this new program with a streamlined approach to volunteer placements. You will be support the coordinator in recruitment, training, retention and supervision of volunteers, and engage with local families needing support and connection to the community.

About you

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker who is respectful, resourceful and motivated with connection to the Katanning and/or Upper Great Southern community in which the program will be operating and strong networking experience – then we want to hear from you!

The Role

This role is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Volunteer Family  Connect program in the Lower Great Southern region / Mount Barker to support the needs of families within the community to strengthen and enhance their overall wellbeing.

You will also need to:

  • Provide a satisfactory current National Police Clearance
  • A current Working with Children Card
  • Demonstrate your understanding of ‘child safe’ environment
  • Provide a current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
