We are seeking a dynamic Family Therapist to work in our Blacktown Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO) team. You will be working in a highly professional team which consists of the program supervisor, individual therapist, skills coaches and a teacher.
The Family Therapist works to support restoration to the family so that the child is able to go home.

What you will do:
- Provide aftercare placement family therapy to the child/young person’s family
- Improving parenting skills, practice sessions, coaching interventions
- Provide case documentations
- Document all sessions so they can be reported
- Complete all training in line with TFCO
- Help families overcome significant barriers
Who we are looking for:
- Tertiary Qualification in, Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Counselling or Family Therapy
- Knowledge of and an understanding of family systems and theory
- Cognitive behavioural and behaviour change therapy application
- Social learning theory
- An understanding of cultural contexts and the unique needs of Aboriginal children and young people.
- Experience working with families and carers
- Valid Full Australian Driving Licence (essential)
