About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Southern and Eastern Melbourne, you will use your skills and experience to provide specialist family violence services to address individual perpetrator needs. As the Family Violence Pathways Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to effectively undertake comprehensive program eligibility assessments, developing individual pathway plans and active case coordination (where required). You will also facilitate RAV’s Men’s Behaviour Change (MBC) Programs, which involves delivering and assessing specific family violence group programs to enhance the safety and wellbeing of women and children.

This role is based across our Boronia and Kew centre, with the expectation to work a late evening on a regular basis. 

The part-time, 4 days per week, fixed-term position will be based at our Boronia centre. The fixed-term contract will be until 30 June 2023, with the possibility of extension.

The full-time or part-time (4 days per week), negotiable, permanent position will be based at our Kew centre. The successful candidate for our Kew position will also be offered a fully funded (retail priced $13,390) place in the CHC81015 Graduate Diploma of Relationship Counselling (Responding to Family Violence), please see here for details. (Course attendance and placement component to be undertaken in employee’s own time).

Skills, experience and qualifications

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in social work, or a related social science discipline.
  • Completion of ‘No to Violence’ Graduate Certificate in Client Assessment and Case Management (Male Family Violence), Swinburne University (preferred) or significant relevant group work experience.
  • Experience in the provision of high-quality risk assessments of individuals and families, where family violence is am identified risk.
  • Understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and the ability to articulate a practise framework including engagement and assessment.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and access to personal vehicle would be considered highly desirable.

A competitive sector remuneration package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $88k to $94k (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation, and access to PBI tax-free salary packaging.
