Due to growth in the organisation and internal promotions, we are seeking resilient and compassionate Family Violence Practitioners (Case Managers and Crisis Accommodation Practitioners) to join our inclusive and supportive team in Warrnambool, Victoria.

The things that will get you excited

With Emma House, your role will be to provide high-quality direct service delivery to our clients using the following frameworks and approaches that underpin the work: a feminist framework, empowerment and strength-based approaches, and trauma-informed framework. Working on a Monday – Friday basis, with on-call work after six months in the role. 

The Family Violence Crisis Accommodation Practitioner will complete the additional tasks as outlined in the position description.

In this quality care-focused role, you will need to be somebody with a strong sense of resilience and confidence in their abilities, along with the desire to be part of a collaborative team that upholds all values of Emma House.

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent or a willingness to upgrade from a Diploma of Community Services (Welfare Studies) to a degree qualification relevant to the field.  

You will also hold or be willing to obtain:

  • MARAM accreditation – this can be provided on the job,
  • A Victorian working with children check (WWCC)
  • National Police Check, or for those that have lived overseas for 12 months in the last ten years, an International Police Check
