The Role:
McArthur are seeking Support Workers experienced working within family violence or crisis and emergency accommodation services to join our casual staffing team. We are partnered with leading Family Violence support agencies who provide a range of refuge and crisis accommodation services to support the safety and wellbeing of clients experiencing family violence.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Implementing trauma-informed practice to provide a safe and secure environment that empowers clients towards ongoing positive health and wellbeing
- Promoting safety and stability through consultation, engagement, and contribution to client personal development
- Contributing to the day-to-day operations of running a residential service
- Working overnight in either a sleepover or stand-up model to ensure the continuance of support outside of normal hours of service operation
The Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counselling or similar
- Minimum 6 months paid sector experience
- Current clear Police Check completed within the last 12 months
- NDIS Worker Screening Check AND Victorian Employee Working With Children Check
- Victorian Drivers Licence
