About CRAICCHS:
Cherbourg Regional Aboriginal and Islander Community Controlled Health Service (CRAICCHS) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Organisation.
CRAICCHS objective is to provide increased access to quality primary health care, social and emotional wellbeing services to the Communities in the South Burnett regions.
Key Duties:
- Assess a family’s needs
- Use a culturally holistic case management approach to coordinate services for families
- Leverage support for a family from multiple service providers and promote collaboration, information exchange, joint planning, shared resourcing, and the development of formal (and informal) partnerships amongst community services providers
- Offer personal support and development including information and advice, parenting skills development, kinship connections, budgeting, and household management skills development
- Deliver practical services that address a specific need in the family
- Provide direct clinical and/or therapeutic counselling, emotional support, and healing practices within a cultural framework
Key Requirements:
Applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- Diploma of Counselling / Case Management OR The willingness to achieve while working full time via a fully paid study opportunity
- Identification as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person – renewable contract opportunities may be made available for applicants who do not identify as Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively with vulnerable Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander youth and their families, with an understanding of the holistic needs of the client and their family.
- Connection to the local community and capacity to engage and encourage program participation
- Strong computer skills
- Current driver licence
- A current Positive Blue Card or the ability to quickly acquire
- Double covid vaccination certificate
