JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Women’s and Children’s Health Network, Child Protective Services (CPS) – North Adelaide 5006
  • Salary
    • Total Indicative Remuneration Classification – Classification – MDP2 – Medical Practitioner – $103,223 to $167,562
    • The Total Indicative Remuneration is inclusive of Award Salary, Superannuation, any relevant allowance and any other monetary benefits
  • Employment Full time – Term Contract (temporary 5 Feb 2024 – 1 Feb 2027)

Overview

The Women’s & Children’s Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia.  We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA’s largest maternity and obstetric service. 

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Child Protection Team as a Fellow for a 12-month placement in a full-time capacity.

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-months as the Fellow Child Protection will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.

About You

You will have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.

To be successful in this role you need to be able to work effectively and collaboratively with other specialist medical, nursing and allied health staff, and have sound clinical skills commensurate with the extent of your training.
