About the vacancy
We are seeking an experienced Clinician to join our Bentleigh AOD team on a full or part time basis . The role would ideally suit an experienced clinician who has worked extensively with a forensic adult cohort with AOD issues in both individual and group-based programs. The successful candidate would join a multidisciplinary team of Psychologists, Social Workers and Clinicians in delivering service to a cohort of complex adults who have engaged in offending behavior. The Forensic Clinician will provide seamless and integrated treatment pathways for clients facing complex issues and who are involved in the criminal justice system.
About you
You will have at least 3 years experience in provision of AOD service delivery to complex forensic clients. You will have proven skills in the application of assessment, counselling, treatment planning and discharge planning of forensic AOD clients. You will have knowledge of harm minimisation, client-centred care and recovery-focused principles. Significant experience working with more complex AOD or dual diagnosis clients, with forensic clients, Child Protection and clients with family reunification orders is essential.
You will have a passion for working with people suffering from substance abuse and the ability to build strong rapport with your clients. You will be a proactive and engaging Counsellor, with specific drug and alcohol experience. Ideally will be tertiary qualified in counselling or social work and be equipped with a Certificate IV in AOD.
