Bunbury Baptist College – Primary & Secondary Chaplain 1.0 FTE Commencing 2024
Bunbury Baptist College is located approximately 3 hours south of Perth in the gateway to the South West Region of Western Australia.
The College commenced in 2019 serving families from Kindergarten to Year 7 providing a vision for a love for learning with a Christian mission focus. The College has experienced significant and rapid growth in recent years and in 2023, commenced a year 11 program.

We are inviting applicants to apply for the position of full-time Primary and Secondary Chaplain at Bunbury Baptist College commencing 2024. In your cover letter please advise if you would prefer part-time in either Secondary or Primary.
It is our great joy to open applications for this special role in our College. We are specifically looking for a chaplain who is:
- Able to set vision and develop goals to reach this vision each year.
- Gatekeeper trained (if not you will be required to attend the next possible training).
- Be physically able to join in activities and/or sports with students.
- Show initiative in programs suitable for age groups regarding social-emotional supports; conflict resolution; grief, and innovate ways to promote strengthening factors to combat anxiety, and a range of mental health concerns.
- Be a communicator with parents and staff on the big issues.
- Show positive interpersonal skills and speak in public settings.
- Invest in the spiritual life of the College.
- Refer appropriately to correct health services when a student reflects a need.
- Attend support PLs with other chaplains; actively network with chaplains; agree to support structures as required by the College.
- Be a good record keeper.
- Meets the NSWP’s minimum qualification requirements equivalent to or higher than a cert IV in youth work; Pastoral Care or Chaplaincy of Pastoral care.
