The opportunity on offer is for an experienced Counsellor with a passion of working within the Bunbury Counselling and Family Support Service on a part-time basis.
A Few Specifics
- Screening, assessments and support planning;
- Selecting and providing appropriate brief intervention supports for clients whether they be clients or carers.
- Assessing supports and ensuring that they are appropriate to meeting clients’ needs.
- Deliver evidence-based counselling and group interventions.
- Referring and assisting clients to access appropriate mainstream specialist services and support groups;
- Providing information and education to clients, carers, families and other service providers; and providing and/or arranging support for carers and families
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications relevant to counselling role (e.g. psychology, social work and/or related social sciences) with eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association.
- Relevant experience with working with children and families with complex needs e.g. domestic violence, homelessness, abuse, schooling issues, family breakdown.
- Experience in case management and coordination of client services
