KINNECT will provide all the support and training to set you up to succeed! With Rehabilitation Counsellor opportunities in Melbourne, at KINNECT our Graduate Program consultants:

  • Participate in a 12-month national new graduate program, where you and a cohort of other graduates get the opportunity to learn from industry experts and network with each other.
  • Join a team of experienced allied health professionals, ensuring that support is always on hand.
  • Participate in a program that is discipline specific whilst working within a multidisciplinary team.

Working in the community, you will assist individuals to engage in meaningful occupations through a client-centred approach, which enables optimal health and wellbeing. Some of your duties will include:-

  • Assessing injured workers to determine the best way to help them get back to work.
  • Providing clinical opinions and justification through report writing.
  • Case managing complex injuries and liaising with treating doctors and health professionals to help an injured worker recover and get back to work.
  • Working with insurers to provide job seeking and job placement services for injured workers.
  • Completing vocational or transferrable skills assessment for workers.
  • Visiting workplaces to gain an understanding of what challenges an injured worker may face and educating workplaces on how to prevent workplace injuries.

    • AASW (Full) – Social Worker
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
