Job Description

Every day is different but each day you will have the opportunity to assist people to return to wellness, work and ultimately experience an improved quality of life.  You will:

  • Engage in formal and experiential training to develop the skills you need to feel competent and confident in your role;
  • Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical skills. Including but not limited to Initial assessments to form a diagnosis, treatment plans, psychosocial barriers to employment and Vocational Assessments for injured workers;
  • Develop strategies and interventions for a safe return to pre-injury activities;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Play an important role in a multidisciplinary approach to recovery and return to work, always with your client’s best interests at heart;
  • Providing evidence-based psychological interventions;
  • Applying solutions based, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy;
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals their treating health practitioners, employers and insurers.

Qualifications

You will be enthusiastic, dynamic, and keen to learn. You bring the attitude – we’ll teach the skills!  

Successful candidates will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications Psychology or Health Sciences, with a postgraduate qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling (or working towards completion) or
  • Eligibility for full registration with ASORC, RCAA or AHPRA (Provisional registration for Psychologists is acceptable) 
  • Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to delivering what we say we will and when we will;
  • A current driver licence and access to their own vehicle
