JOB DESCRIPTION

The role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Southern and Eastern Melbourne, your responsibilities will include the effective group-based facilitation of relationship education programs, such as Tuning into Kids and Dads Tuning into Kids. You will provide high quality, ethical and professional delivery of these programs. This will include developing, planning and effectively facilitating the content of sessions and individual work (if required), with a focus on the emotional connection between parents and children. You will also assess clients’ needs, including those possibly from Dari speaking communities, and provide appropriate interventions and referrals to services both at RAV and externally.

This is a great casual opportunity for skilled individuals seeking work based in Melbourne’s South East. Successful candidates can expect that some or all this work will be outside of normal office hours (approx. three (3) hours per week per group).

About you

  • Degree in psychology, social work or a related allied health discipline.
  • Experience and expertise working with children, adolescents and families, including group work interventions.
  • Solid risk/assessment skills and an ability to make referrals for children, young people and their families.
  • Current Australian Driver’s license is required to fulfil this role and requirements.

The hourly rate is $60.44 to $62.14 per hour, inclusive of the 25% casual loading.
