- Salary: $101,124 – $108,467 p.a. (Pro Rata) AHP3 | Salary: $114,560 – $119,682 p.a. (Pro Rata) RN/M3 | Full Time, Until June 2023
Joining the Southern Youth Mental Health Team, you will be responsible for the implementation, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of two evidence-based group therapy programs for young consumers of mental health services. These are youth who experience moderate to severe difficulties with regulating their emotions (including with emerging/diagnosed Borderline Personality Disorder), and/or who engage in self-harming or suicidal behaviours. As the Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of clinical activities. This will include mental health and psychosocial assessments, treatment and care planning and reviews, individual and group therapeutic interventions, advocacy and liaison with other community service providers. You will also engage in the monitoring of service provision, data collection and usage, and service evaluation working alongside a dedicated Research Assistant. Working collaboratively with consumers and their families/carers, you may liaise closely with a network of government and non-government organisations. You will strive for maximising youth wellbeing, assisting stabilisation of mental health, rehabilitation, and building functional capacity for self-management.
For appointment at the AHP3 level, you will hold a degree or equivalent in Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychology, and be eligible for membership of the relevant professional association. For appointment at the RN3 level, you will be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold a current practicing certificate and a qualification in Mental Health practice. You will have a proven track record of experience in individualised care planning and coordinating comprehensive service provision and crisis intervention with young people who have high or complex needs. You will have experience in delivering of psychological interventions (including both Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy DBT) and experience in delivering group therapy programs.
