About the Role
We have casual opportunities for either a Registered Psychologist, Counsellor, Mental Health Nurse, or Social Worker to join our team and work across both sites of Ramsay Mental Health SA, in the outpatient setting at Ramsay Day Clinic Kahlyn and in the in-patient facility at Ramsay Clinic Adelaide.
As a Group Therapist, you will be responsible for facilitating and co-facilitating group therapy sessions for private out-patients and in-patients experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions such as Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Affective Disorder and Schizoaffective Disorder.
This role will entail, but is not limited to:
- Facilitating/ co-facilitating evidence-based group programs based on therapies such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Anxiety Management, Diversional Therapy, psychoeducation groups and support.
- Developing patient-centred treatment goals and plans in collaboration with the patient and in line with department and Hospital procedures and policies.
- Providing support to the senior Allied Health staff and senior management team to ensure the achievement of department and Hospital objectives in line with strategic Hospital plans.
- Liaising with referring psychiatrists as part of a multidisciplinary approach to care.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong desire to work in Mental Health and gain clinical experience in both the out-patient and hospital setting coupled with a passion for delivering a high standard of care.
Essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology / Counselling & Psychotherapy/ Mental Health Nursing/ Social Work
- Relevant registration with AHPRA / PACFA /ACA/AASW or the appropriate Board
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a private hospital setting.
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity in thinking.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values.
Remuneration
- Pay range as per current EA depending on skills and qualifications.
