About the role
Due to an internal move, we are seeking a skilled leader to provide professional practice and governance oversight and lead the development of Counselling, Mediation and Youth Services within Anglicare to ensure best possible client outcomes. Areas of responsibility include Counselling, Family Dispute Resolution (FRCs), Youth Services.
You will be a Clinician/Program Manager with deep understanding of the context and requirements of the delivery of client work, so that excellent client outcomes can be achieved, risk managed, and teams supported.
This role is available and flexibly based at an Anglicare Community services site primarily within Greater Sydney area. Availability to travel is required.
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the delivery of evidence-based, person-centred service models that meet client’s needs are informed by best practice standards and emerging evidence by aligning with funding body, legislative and professional requirements with organisational strategic objectives.
- Ensure effective leadership for the service areas, building a culture of continuous improvement, leadership development and mission alignment.
- Ensure high stakeholder engagement by effective collaboration with stakeholders including coordinating funding body liaison and positive relationships with churches, schools, donors, peak bodies, professional networks, referring agencies, and individuals.
- Ensure that services within responsibility operate in accordance with the organisation’s policies and procedures government standards and regulations. This is achieved by collaborating with other Community and Mission managers to ensure consistency and avoid duplication in policy and procedures.
- Ensure that services within responsibility programs run to budget and financial reports to Community Services GM are provided as required. Collaborate in the development of budgets within area of responsibility with Program Managers and as directed by CS General Manager and Business Managers.
- Ensure the execution of strategic and operational objectives through comprehensive work plans that detail actions, people responsible and timing with consideration to realistic and achievable goals
Skills, knowledge and experience needed;
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications (AQF level 7 or above) and management experience
- Experience in program management relevant to Family and Relationship Services
- Previous experience as a practitioner in counselling, family dispute resolution or complex case work.
- Capacity to develop policies and procedures and lead a team towards organisational goals
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Change management skills and experience
- Current driver’s licence, Intermediate computer skills including MS Office
- Excellent communicator – verbal, written, and presentation.
- Knowledge translator – capacity to synthesize a lot of information and apply to the service delivery context.
- Administratively strong – time management, planning and coordination.
- Growth mindset – recognizing opportunities for development and innovation and subsequently managing change.
