The Head of Strategic Development and Human Resources role is a new vital ministry opportunity within Brisbane Christian College. As a trusted point of connection in the College, the role‐holder will support College Leaders through building the people resources capability of the College, leading and managing effective human resources functions, supporting and contributing to broader organisational and strategic management and fostering the Mission, Vision and Values of the College ensuring the College is compliant with external requirements.

Key to the success of the role is the development and maintenance of solid and effective relationships with the College Leaders and ministers (employees) of the College.

Brisbane Christian College invites applicants for this position with experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have:

  • a high level of initiative, organisational agility and accountability for outcomes 
  • an ability to think and analyse strategically and operationally with strong emotional intelligence
  • extensive HR experience with various HR functions, including recruitment, people development, remuneration, employee relations, HR strategy development, execution and delivery
  • experience in advising, assisting and coaching executive and leadership teams in areas of Human Resource Management
  • an advanced understanding of document management, word processing and computer skills
  • a broad and nuanced understanding of a school’s structure, processes and operations.
