Corpus Christi College is a co-educational Catholic college in the southern suburb of Bateman, offering Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.   

The College is seeking applications for the new role of Head of Wellbeing (K-12), to commence in 2024. We invite current and aspiring leaders with a teaching or psychology/counselling background to consider this exciting middle leadership opportunity at the College. 

As an integral member of the Corpus Christi College middle leadership team, the Head of Wellbeing (K-12) leads the wellbeing strategy for all students and staff in the College. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive wellbeing programs that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of the College. 

Within the context of leading in a Catholic school, the Head of Wellbeing (K-12) is an advocate for principles of Positive Education, Positive Psychology and exemplary practice to ensure programs and initiatives are age appropriate and recognise the needs of all students.

The Head of Wellbeing (K-12) is responsible for the Wellbeing Team, which includes College Psychologists/Counsellors, and Student Engagement Mentors. The Wellbeing Team is a subset of the Community Team, which is led by the Deputy Principal Community and includes the Head of Community (K-6), Heads of Year, and Homeroom Teachers. 

Preferred candidates will be role models as an educator, professional learner, and mentor for staff. As a middle leader, they should display the qualities of a good leader, manager and administrator that are congruent with the values of the College.

  1. Outline a wellbeing initiative you have led which promoted personalised and collective wellbeing informed by data for either students or staff;
  2. Outline your approach to establishing a strategic plan for wellbeing in the College in Year 1; or
  3. Articulate your vision for ways data can be used to inform practice and how the effectiveness of wellbeing initiatives can be measured.
