About headspace
headspace provides early intervention mental health services to 12–25-year-old. headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health) alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.
About the Opportunity
As the Senior Clinician you will provide case consultation services using high level clinical expertise in the assessment, treatment & delivery of targeted interventions to young people experiencing eating disorders.
Working collaboratively with Royal Darwin Hospital Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Service, you will be responsible for care coordination for young people that has a family therapeutic approach to improve outcomes for the young person and their family and provide access to timely treatment at appropriate level of intensity.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- An approved tertiary qualification and minimum 3 years’ experience in a health-related discipline and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as APHRA or membership AASW for Social Workers.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of evidence-based treatment for young people and/or adults experiencing eating disorders.
- Extensive experience in the planning and provision of mental health clinical care, including completion of mental health assessments, crisis intervention, case formulation, psychoeducation and short-term treatment interventions to young people experiencing mental health and/or substance use, and/or other social difficulties using current evidence-based approaches.
