About Us
Health & Wellbeing Plus is a specialist trauma informed care division of Joblink Plus. We provide individual and group counselling, wellbeing workshops and ongoing support in close collaboration with employment services. The multi-disciplinary team of practitioners at Health & Wellbeing Plus believe that sustainable, meaningful work is an important part of recovery and good mental health. Co-locating with Joblink Plus offices, we’re operating from regional locations across NSW, and growing our team.
About You
· You’ll have a qualification in counselling or psychology and membership of a professional accreditation body such as ACA or PACFA (or be eligible to obtain)
· You will love working with diverse people, using a strengths-based recovery approach to support people from disadvantaged backgrounds. You’ll have a demonstrable commitment to inclusion and equality.
· Using your excellent people skills, you’ll build credible, trusting relationships within our co-located service to achieve positive outcomes for all people we work with
· Embracing innovative, evidence-based approached to therapeutic work, your group facilitation experience will be highly advantageous
· You will have (or be prepared to obtain) a NSW Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check.
About the role
While permanent full-time work is on offer, we’re open to part time. In this role you will:
· assess the psychosocial and mental health conditions of presenting clients
· provide individual and group counselling using a range of therapeutic skills consistent with currently accepted trauma informed, best practice
· design and provide supports such as workshops and presentations.
Being familiar with and understanding the role of counselling and meaningful employment in recovery is fundamental.
Essential
· Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or other recognised qualification under the Health Professional Award.
· Registration with an applicable professional association.
· Ability to establish relationships with people of various backgrounds, cultures and ages.
