Health Concierge Clinician – Mental Health Amplar Health

As a Mental Health Concierge Clinician, you will connect with Medibank members who are accessing psychiatric care at a private hospital most likely for the first time, requiring additional support ahead of an admission.

Through a conversational manner you will conduct a risk assessment and dependent upon the outcomes provide the Members with relevant collateral or resources to assist their preparedness for a psychiatric hospital admission and their recovery.

Your background and experience will to enable a deeper understanding of the psychosocial issues and services that may be appropriate for the member’s situation.

Making outbound calls to members, some of your responsibilities include:

  • Providing support for their upcoming hospital admission and communicate relevant/appropriate options available to them
  • Assisting them in navigating the health system and mental health resources and assisting them to making informed decisions
  • Ensuring they feel safe, supported and providing a friendly, personal experience
  • Working towards KPIs and targets whilst ensuring a quality experience for Medibank members

Please note:

  • This role is a work form home, telephone-based support service.
  • You will be rostered across our operating hours of 9-6 pm (Melb/Syd local time) Monday to Friday.
  • We have full and part time (0.6 – 1.0 FTE) positions available. This will initially be a 6 month fixed term contract but may extend.
  • Start date Mid to late Sept – 10 days full time (i.e. Monday – Friday) before moving to your fixed roster. Training will be Virtual via Zoom.

About You

With strong interpersonal skills and a thoroughly engaging phone manner, you present as a positive, enthusiastic and adaptable personality with focused mindset to deliver exceptional service to Medibank members. Self-motivated and proactive, you are comfortable working to KPIs and targets.

You are a Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker with AHPRA or relevant registration, with a minimum of 1 years’ post qualification experience in a Mental Health hospital environment. You have experience in identifying needs and match appropriate actions and service provision according to level of need and risk rating.
