About Helm
An innovative new service, Helm specialises in helping men address problem behaviours to regain control and improve quality of life. Helm is designed to make accessing treatment easy, accessible, and focused on individual outcomes.
Helm is here to support men through a range of life difficulties including drug or alcohol use, gambling, relationships, dealing with emotions and other mental health or behavioural concerns.
About You
We’re looking for dynamic, skilled, experienced Registered Psychologists or Social Workers to deliver assessment and individual counselling to adult clients who access Helm services (privately or through a Mental Health Care Plan referral).
You will have access to a skilled client services team, access to clinical supervision, mentoring, professional development, and treatment resources.
In this role our integrated IT system will enable you to manage your calendar, deliver sessions, provide your clients with online assessments and activities, and streamline billing, administration, and reporting so you can focus on what you are passionate about – helping people change.
What you must have to apply for this role
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social Work
- Registered with APHRA or AASW
- 3 years’ experience post provisional qualifications with a focus on Alcohol, Drugs, Gambling, Emotion, and other life difficulties, including relationships, gaming, and unhealthy online behaviours.
- Within these 3 years, you must have delivered face to face or online counselling services
- Able to use electronic medical record systems, and relevant software
- High level of interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Eligibility to provide Medicare and/or private health insurance rebate-able service
