The hEP (headspace Early Psychosis Program) Implementation lead will support the commissioning, establishment, and implementation of two new hEPs within the ACT and Tasmania. This role will initially support the PHNs to successfully commission the new hEP programs and will then shift to supporting the implementation with successful lead agencies responsible for delivering the hEP program.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Australian Early Psychosis Program you will:
- Provide support, specialist consultation and advice to ACT and TAS PHNs and their commissioned services in facilitating the establishment and implementation of the youth early psychosis program.
- Design and deliver appropriate implementation and quality improvement activities, actively responding to the needs of PHNs and the hEP programs.
- Foster and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders including state and territory mental health departments and agencies. Plan and deliver events around program establishment and implementation.
- Liaise with the Department of Health in relation to the commissioning and initial establishment of the new hEP programs and develop resources to support PHNs and their commissioned services.
What you’ll need
You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline such as public health, health promotion, social work, psychology, or related health discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in clinical program establishment and implementation.
- Knowledge of the mental health system of care and within a youth mental health context and for first episode psychosis.
- Well-developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills (written and verbal) to successfully engage with a wide range of stakeholders.

This is a part time (0.6 – 0.8 FTE) position for 3 years.
