About us

The Centre for Women & Co. is seeking a passionate, highly experienced HRT Case Manager to join our High Risk Team, commencing in January 2023. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand upon your existing skills, working within the dedicated and professional High Risk Team in Logan.

The Centre for Women & Co. exists to deliver responsive, high quality and holistic women services to the Logan and Redland Regions, encompassing domestic and family violence support services and women’s health and wellbeing support services. 

The Role 

The High Risk Team Case Manager is responsible for providing services directly to women who are experiencing Domestic and/or Family Violence for the HRT actions. 

The HRT Case Manager directly respond to HRT clients who are in crisis, providing immediate support to clients requiring risk assessment, safety intervention and planning as well as urgent referrals and supportive monitoring and follow up.  You will work collaboratively with team members, HRT core members and other organisations to develop appropriate and innovative responses to prevent violence within the Logan community.

The position reports directly to the Program Manager (HRT Coordinator) and requires supporting and building the partnership and external relationships.

Qualifications and experience (mandatory): 

  1. Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in Behavioural, Social Science, counselling, social work, or in the areas of human services management received from a recognised university, with eligibility for professional association membership  
  2. Ability to provide a high-quality client focused assessment, information and brief counselling service to women who present to The Centre for Women & Co. for DFV support 
  3. Ability to work in a community-based organisation, to participate in a team in a collaborative and supportive manner, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  4. Experience and knowledge of working within current Domestic and Family Violence Act 2012 and Child protection legislation (Child Protection Act 1999)
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. 
  6. High level organisational, analytical and time management skills.
