Home Support Services (HSS) is part of Medibank and has been providing in-home healthcare services since 1989. We understand that Australians want more choice over where and when they receive care. Where clinically appropriate, our national home healthcare business, Home Support Services (HSS), offer people the flexibility of receiving healthcare and support services in alternative settings to hospitals, wherever they call ‘home’.

Your Opportunity

Our people are integral to the continued success of HSS and to achieve Medibank’s vision to deliver better health for better lives. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Hospital Liaison Consultant to join our team, based in Sydney metropolitan area. As part of this role you will be required to travel frequently to Private hospitals in and around Sydney.

In this role, you will work with various health professionals and organisations to build HSS into the largest virtual hospital in Australia.

You will liaise with, engage, and support referrers, promoting and growing referrals across the continuum of health care providers to HSS for services to patients in their home. You will offer knowledge and provide support in relation to healthcare practices and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members who share the same goal of providing an impeccable experience to consumers and stakeholders.

Combining your clinical expertise, desire to build strong relationships and growing referrals, you will regularly undertake hospital visits to the Private Hospitals in and around Sydney. All travel will be reimbursed as part of the role.

About you

You are a passionate clinician that enjoys building strong connections with people, growing referrals and providing an outstanding experience to internal and external stakeholders.

With a background either in nursing or allied health (physio/OT) and relevant tertiary qualifications, you will have recent experience in a business development/health promotion type of role. Ideally, you bring frontline experience as a clinician within a private hospital setting and understand the discharge planning process.

You will thrive in a fast paced, results driven and dynamic environment with the ability to think on your feet and problem solve. As an outstanding communicator, your intuitive people skills will be central to your success. You are motivated by ensuring our customer experience exceeds expectations and that complaint resolution goals are met.
