Immediate Response Consultant – Telehealth Assure Programs

JOB DESCRIPTION

We partner with organisations to provide support, guidance and intervention whilst aiming to reduce mental health challenges that impact on retention and productivity of their employees. 

The Role:

Our Immediate Response clinicians are committed to making a difference in people’s lives. We know that mental health is impacting on so many individuals, families and organisations in our communities and EAP provides an opportunity to access professional mental health support in a timely manner. We can consider full or part time and during and after hours options.

In this role you will contribute to the values driven, highly professional and ethical delivery of services to Assure customers through the provision of services via telephone and digital platforms like chat and video. The Immediate Response team provide a range of therapeutic interventions to support clients when they first reach out to Assure. This includes individual coaching and counselling to support and guide Managers, HR, People Leaders and their employees on workplace issues, and undertaking outbound health and wellbeing checks. The work will include:

  • Assessments of client’s presenting concerns and related risk
  • Use short term solution focused therapy to identify goals and provide appropriate skills and strategies to achieve them
  • Provision of counselling to individuals with a variety of presenting issues including but not limited to mental, emotional, lifestyle management and work life concerns.
  • Working autonomously with your clients and ensuring best practice in your approach to client work
  • Being aware of additional services that Assure offer, such as facilitation, group sessions, digital chat, on-site work and manager support, to build skills and opportunities to develop
  • Developing networks with both internal and external subject matter experts

Complex and Diverse Work

Within the EAP sector, our clinicians case load includes a range of presenting concerns and various presenting symptoms and diagnosed conditions.  Our role will be to assist individuals to engage in receiving the correct support either through EAP and/or through referrals for longer term intervention.
