Intake and Assessment Officer – Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Marathon Health

We are looking for an Intake and Assessment Officer to join our Commonwealth Psychosocial Support team in either Bathurst or Dubbo, NSW. The vacancy is Full Time, 75 hours per fortnight, and will be ongoing.

The Intake and Assessment Officer role:

  • Processes intake, triage, assessment and coordination of referrals received by the program
  • Provides administration, data and logistics support to our friendly multidisciplinary team
  • Conducts phone assessments within scope of role, and maintain intake & referral systems 
  • Is a client-centred role ensuring efficient and timely access to appropriate clinical services
  • Acts as a first point of contact for a team making a genuine difference in our community

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent, or experience supporting people with mental health concerns
  • Demonstrated experience in administration and data collection relating to a healthcare setting
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Developed interpersonal skills with an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • High level of communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills, including document management and clinical software packages.
